17th Green Way Symposium in Ostrava: Energy and Environmental Quality in Focus                                                                                                 

From April 21 to 24, 2026, the Imperial Hotel in Ostrava (Czech Republic) became a hub for experts in ventilation and energy.

The 17th edition of the prestigious Green Way Symposium, traditionally organized by the Society for Environmental Technology, was held there.

This year’s event confirmed that the topics of sustainability and efficiency are more relevant than ever in our industry.

The symposium program was packed with information and divided into thematic blocks covering the most pressing challenges facing the construction and industrial sectors today. Participants addressed topics such as:

Indoor Environmental Quality: Ensuring Healthy Air in Modern Buildings.

Building Renovation: Challenges Associated with Modernizing Existing Residential and Commercial Buildings.

Energy and ventilation in industrial buildings: Effective solutions for large-scale operations.

Ventilation in a broader context: New technologies and trends.

We are very pleased that our company, Ventiair, contributed to the professional level of the event. Mr. Hainall delivered a technical presentation on the topic: “Energy Consumption and Efficiency of HVAC Units.”

In his presentation, he focused on the practical aspects of designing units to meet strict energy limits without compromising on performance or user comfort.

The Green Way Symposium is known for offering not only cutting-edge information but also opportunities for informal networking. Following the demanding technical program, a social gathering and a lavish buffet were prepared for the participants.

The evening was accompanied by cimbalom music, which created a wonderful atmosphere and highlighted the hospitality of the Ostrava region. The symposium continued in a similar spirit – that is, combining high professionalism with friendly gatherings – throughout the following days.

Conclusion

The 17th Green Way Symposium once again demonstrated that face-to-face meetings between experts and the exchange of know-how are irreplaceable. We are leaving Ostrava not only with new technical insights, but also with many inspiring contacts and ideas for our future work.
