Training for Designers in the historic Z-10 Nuclear Shelter in Brno

On November 6, 2025, a special training session was held for designers, focusing on the latest trends and tools in the field of ventilation system design. The entire event took place in the unusual and historically fascinating premises of the Z-10 Nuclear Shelter.

News in HVAC and Energy Optimization

The main objective of the training was to familiarize designers with the latest developments in HVAC system design, with an emphasis on energy efficiency and sustainability. The program focused on three key areas:

                1. Energy optimization: Presentation of methods and technologies that minimize the operating costs and energy consumption of HVAC systems while maintaining maximum indoor comfort.
                2. Innovative technologies: An overview of state-of-the-art components and solutions (e.g., heat recovery systems, intelligent control) that push the boundaries of efficiency and reliability.

The presentations were followed by an active and stimulating discussion, where designers shared their experiences and asked specific questions about the practical application of the solutions presented.

Nuclear shelter Z-10: An excursion into history

The unusual setting also included a tour of the historic Z-10 Nuclear Shelter. This unique excursion offered participants a fascinating glimpse into the past, where survival technology was intertwined with the history of the Cold War. The tour created an interesting contrast between the technological solutions of the time and the modern HVAC systems that designers propose today.

Informal part and tournament 🎯

The evening program took place in a pleasantly relaxed atmosphere. A rich buffet was prepared for the participants, and the highlight of the informal part was the traditional darts tournament, which brought a lot of fun and an opportunity to strengthen collegial ties in a friendly spirit.

We would like to thank all participating designers for their active approach and look forward to another meeting full of innovation!
